Please join us on September 22, 2024 for Volunteer Work Day at the Range!
Pursuant to our use permit with the USFS, all WCGC Ranges will be closed to all shooting activities on Sunday, September 22, 2022, in recognition of the FALL EQUINOX.
Due to this closure, WCGC has arranged a Member Volunteer Range Work Day and Lunch on Sunday, September 22, 2024 and we would love your help.
We have many projects that we would like to see completed on this work day.
Some the items we would like to complete are:
- Shotgun Clubhouse: Clean-out and Clean-up
- Trap Fields: Pick-up and Clean-up Shotgun Wads
- Shotgun Fields: General Brush Clean-up
- Rifle/Pistol Ranges: All Ranges Brass Clean-up
- Rifle/Pistol Ranges: General Brush Clean-up
- Rifle/Pistol Ranges: Refresh, paint, repair
- All Club Bathrooms: Refresh, paint, repair
We know we will be able to complete most of these items on that day with your help. Many hands make light work! No experience necessary! All are welcome! Not required, but if you have them, please bring gloves, hand tools, garden tools, ladders, etc....
Please Note: We need help obtaining the use of a small bull dozer and skid steer/track loader for Sunday and possibly other days. If you have access to equipment like this, please contact our Range Manager, Matt Nordin, directly at rangemanager@wcgc.org or 805-689-0667.
We are looking forward to a day of camaraderie and bringing new life to all the ranges! Volunteer hours are 8 am - 3 pm. Come up for a few hours or the whole day. In appreciation of your participation, all participants will receive a FREE LUNCH along with a $25 WCGC Gift Card. This gift card can be applied to your membership renewal, club merchandise or shooting fees.
We are already so proud of our beautiful ranges, now lets make them even better together!
